They say about her:

“…. whoever is lucky enough to get hold of one of the images, will have a fragment of humanity, a jerk of another reality, captured by this dream bounty hunter.”   Silvio Ferraglio – Historical and Critic of Art

“Freedom of the press, with its cage, in which both the captivity and liberty concept coexist. You may see a newspaper bent over itself and oppressed by external forces in which it succumbs. Expression of an apparent freedom of information that in fact, printed paper, increasingly subject to any kind of conditioning, does not have. Outside the cage, in a continuous sense of meaning, two birds seem to talk to each other to communicate that only social integration, dialogue between the sexes, the ability to have timely thoughts can lead to a truly free world. In an inverted universe, where freedom lies where you least expect it, they are the symbol of the rediscovered independence of word, information, and thoughts that you find on your friends, tweets and the web. But a white and elegant cage generates new uncertainties: the outside and the inside are not interchangeable? This is the disturbing doubt, the enigmatic message that makes Massi’s works so fascinating.”   Maria Pina Cirillo – Critic of Art

“Rivers like flashes, like flowers (the Mappelthorpe Lilies), as silhouettes of figures and thoughts, such as electrical and electronic discharges … but above all as potentialities”.  Stefano Co – Art Historian

BIOGRAPHY
Natalia Elena Massi was born in Lucerne (Switzerland) in 1967. She lived in Mondavio (Pesaro Urbino) until the age of 26. Now lives and works in Brescia.
She always had a natural tendency for the arts and interested in everything that is relevant to some artistic form (music, dance, drawing, photography).
Beloved of photography, after attending a photography course at the IED, European Design Institute, in Turin in 2011, the passion explodes to her full leisure time.
Since then, no one day is spent without doing something about photography.
She likes both the digital photography and the analogue with which she delights to follow and personally produce the entire negative development process to fully manage the result.
In 2012 he approaches the first photographic club (the Lambda Photographic Association) for the first time in order to share her passion with other photographers and deepen the topics of photography, and in 2013 joins the FIAF Association and continues to attend several refresher courses and workshops. She is currently enrolled in various art clubs and art associations including the National Museum of Photography in Brescia and the Eureka Arte association.

PASSION AS PHILOSOPHY OF OWN ART
Natalia Elena Massi believes that photography is a means of expressing what can not be seen, to tell what is felt and to imagine what does not exist.
It is not merely a representation of reality that staged the artist with her work, but an alteration of the real scene, associations and overlapping of objects to represent the larger picture which goes beyond the simple sum of different elements.
